I'm very proud of my compassionate children! Below is a letter they have written to accompany cards and envelopes to send to soldiers overseas. It's their service project.
Dear Friend,
My brother/sister and I, after reading a book called 100 Days and 99 Nights, decided to do a service project for our soldiers overseas.
In this baggie you will find Christmas ornaments (to be used as greeting cards) that we created, and pre-addressed and pre-stamped envelopes. Write a Christmas wish for a soldier on the back of the ornament, stick it in the envelope, and drop it in the mailbox.
In order for the cards to arrive in time for Christmas, please mail by December 6th.

If you would like to participate in our service project, please let me know how many baggies of cards and pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelopes you would like. There are 5 cards/envelopes per bag. To partially off-set some of our expenses, we're asking for a donation of $5.00 per bag of 5 cards.
